cosmic sensorium: photo statement

My photography is an attempt at bringing the transient into cosmic relevance and rescuing the archetypes in everyday life. My pictures include subjects and/or compositions that ordinarily exist for very short periods of time. Most of my photography is casual and taken on a 7-block radius between home, school, and work - all currently in urban Chicago. Yes, we have some very nice city parks and gardens, and nature always finds a way to amaze me! Nonetheless, my search is for points of contact and expression, in every place and situation that I may experience, and to draw from this and compose images that inspire. Hence, I maintain an eclectic lens and I keep myself on the open side of exploration. This includes ocassional trips into demonstrations, marches, concerts, your dad's house,  sunrise, abandoned buildings,  railroad tracks, sugar cane fields, the rooftops, secluded beaches, etc.

*Please note: This section is currently a work in progress, I have yet to conquer the task of organizing, cataloging, resizing [etc] a great deal of my pictures in order to present them  in a  navigation-friendly way. Some of my areas of photographic interest, which you should expect to see in the sets page are: archetypes, angels, abstract, crabs, earth, fire, flowers, leaves, macro photography, metal, mushrooms, mystic photography, marches & rallies, nature pics, people, ritual, sacred geometry, the sea and the beach, scenery, shamanism, the sky, spectrum, stones and crystals, the Sun and Sun rays, trees,  trips, urban photography, water, reflections, and tricks of the wind.
